We run the #1 fishing podcast in the world — The Science of Fishing — and we are looking for a highly organized, growth-focused Podcast & Content Operations Manager to join our team full-time.
This is NOT a simple VA posting role.
This person will own:
• Podcast publishing verification
• Website episode blog creation (SEO optimized)
• Daily social media repost strategy
• Comment engagement
• Newsletter writing & management (2x/week)
• Monthly analytics reporting
We are building a serious media brand and need someone who thinks long-term.
???? Responsibilities
1. Podcast Distribution QA
-Verify YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts uploads
-Check titles, descriptions, sponsor copy, links
-Spot-check audio/video
-Report and correct issues
2. Website Episode Blog Creation
-Convert transcript into SEO blog
-Add internal/external links
-Upload images
-Add meta descriptions
-Clean formatting
-Ensure sponsor compliance
3. Social Media Growth (Daily)
-Find viral fishing clips (250k+ views)
-Repost natively across platforms
-Write captions + hashtags
-Choose strong thumbnails
-Post 2+ reposts daily
-Share to stories
-Respond to comments 2x/day
4. Newsletter (2x per week)
-Write in Mark’s voice (direct, confident, fishing-native)
-Curiosity-driven subject lines
-One clear CTA
-Sponsor integration
-Track open rate, CTR
5. Monthly Reporting
-Export analytics from all platforms
-Track growth in Google Sheet
-Prepare 1-page performance summary
???? Ideal Candidate
You:
-Have managed a podcast or YouTube channel before
-Understand SEO and YouTube optimization
-Have experience writing
-Are detail-oriented (metadata matters)
-Understand engagement and comment strategy
-Think about growth, not just posting

Full-Time: 15–20 hours per week
Must overlap 2–3 hours with US Eastern Time so we can communicate.
