About the Role
DMV Gates & Security Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Government Proposal & Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. This remote position is responsible for identifying government contracting opportunities, summarizing and analyzing solicitations, preparing compliant proposals, and supporting administrative requirements throughout the life of the project once awarded.
This role is ideal for a self-driven professional who understands the federal, state, and local procurement process and thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Sourcing & Analysis
Monitor federal, state, and local procurement portals (
Identify relevant bid opportunities aligned with company capabilities
Review and summarize RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and other solicitations
Provide executive summaries and bid/no-bid recommendations
Proposal Development
Lead and coordinate proposal preparation from start to submission
Develop compliant technical and administrative proposal documents
Ensure adherence to solicitation requirements and formatting instructions
Coordinate pricing inputs, subcontractor documentation, and certifications
Maintain proposal calendars and submission deadlines
Post-Award Administrative Support
Assist with contract documentation and compliance tracking
Support submittals, reporting requirements, and deliverables
Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure contract compliance
Maintain organized contract files and documentation
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in government contracting, proposal writing, or procurement
APMP Certification required (Active certification preferred)
Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and FAR guidelines
Experience with
Excellent written communication and document formatting skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with construction, infrastructure, or security-related government contracts
Familiarity with GSA schedules or cooperative purchasing programs
Knowledge of compliance documentation and contract administration
