JOB OVERVIEW

Company: BriarBear
Location: Fully Remote (Philippines)
Schedule: Graveyard Shift (Start time between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM PH Time)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About this Role
We are hiring a Marketing Researcher to own and drive long-burn, compounding organic
growth for a portfolio of AI-powered digital products.
BriarBear builds consumer products, SaaS tools, and mobile apps with AI at their core—AI
chatbots with proprietary knowledge bases, intelligent workflows, and AI-powered matching
systems. These products live or die by distribution.
While some roles on our team focus on short-form content and social platforms, this role is
responsible for the slower, deeper, compounding channels:
- SEO & organic search
- Blogs (strategy, not writing)
- Email campaigns
- Pinterest
- App Store Optimization (ASO)
- Authority, backlinks, and PR-driven discoverability
This is not a writing role.
This is a strategy, systems, and accountability role for someone who thinks like a growth
engineer—someone who can turn traffic data, rankings, and funnels into clear plans and
measurable outcomes.
You are responsible for d ---------- what we should rank for, why it matters, how we get there,
and how we measure success.

What this Role is Accountable For
This role is accountable for real business outcomes, not output:
- Traffic growth
- Search rankings
- Conversion rates
- Authority and visibility
- Revenue impact
Views without conversion are failure, not success.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
1. Own Long-Burn Organic Growth Strategy
Develop and continuously refine organic growth strategies across:
- Google Search (SEO)
- Blogs (topic selection, optimization, performance)
- Email campaigns
- Pinterest
- App Store rankings (ASO)
- Emerging discovery surfaces (AI search / LLMs)
You are expected to understand why something ranks, not just that it ranks.
2. Translate Business Goals Into Measurable Growth Targets
You will take high-level goals such as:
- “Increase organic traffic from 20K ? 100K monthly users”
- “Rank for high-intent keywords in X category”
- “Increase app store installs from organic search”
And translate them into:
- Keyword targets and ranking goals
- Traffic and conversion benchmarks
- Funnel assumptions (impressions ? clicks ? users ? customers)
- Clear milestones and timelines
You are accountable for defining the strategy and path forward.
3. SEO, Keywords, and Authority Strategy
You will:
- Analyze current traffic sources and performance
- Identify keyword opportunities worth pursuing (and which are not)
- Build keyword maps and content opportunity lists
- D ---------- what content should exist to capture search demand
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings and conversion
This includes authority-building strategy:
- Backlink acquisition (organic, partnerships, PR, tools like Outrank, etc.)
- D ---------- whether to pursue media placements, PR, or direct backlink strategies
- Building topical authority in our category
You will help answer questions like:
- What keywords are we ranking for today?
- What keywords should we rank for next?

- How do we become a trusted authority in this space?
4. Funnel Thinking & Conversion Optimization
Design and test strategies that convert:
- Search impressions ? website visits
- Website visits ? signups
- Signups ? paying customers
D ---------- and test:
- Content intent (informational vs. transactional)
- Page structure and optimization
- Website vs. app store routing
- Email sequencing and timing
Monitor conversion rates at each stage and adjust strategy accordingly.
5. Measurement, Reporting, and Iteration
Track and report on:
- Traffic by channel
- Keyword rankings
- Conversion rates
- Performance by content category
You will:
- Build dashboards and reports leadership can understand
- Identify what’s working and double down
- Kill underperforming strategies quickly
- Diagnose why growth stalls and propose fixes
You own the outcome.
6. Work With (But Do Not Replace) Creative & Writing Resources
You will not be expected to write blogs or long-form content yourself.
Instead, you will:
- Provide clear briefs to writers or creators
- Define keyword intent, structure, and success criteria
- Review performance and iterate based on data

Who You Are
- Strategic thinker with a strong bias toward execution
- Analytical and systems-oriented
- Comfortable owning numbers and being accountable for results

- Understands SEO, authority, and ranking mechanics deeply or willing to learn
- Can explain why a strategy should work
- Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Comfortable working directly with leadership

Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Proven experience in SEO, growth marketing, or performance marketing
- Strong understanding of:
- Search intent
- Keywords and rankings
- Funnels and conversion metrics
- Experience analyzing traffic and performance data
- Familiarity with ASO (App Store Optimization)
- Experience with backlink or PR-driven SEO
- Data analysis or experimentation background
- Interest in AI search and LLM discoverability

Why This Role Matters
This role directly determines:
- Whether long-term organic growth compounds or stalls
- Whether content becomes an asset or a cost
- Whether BriarBear becomes an authority in its category
- Whether distribution works without relying solely on paid ads
