JOB OVERVIEW

SEO Specialist

Y1 Sport are looking for someone with strong experience doing SEO to improve our rankings. To apply for this role you must fully understand how to improve our SEO and we would like you to demonstrate in an interview how you would improve our current website.

We have two websites that need a lot of focus and we would like you do some research on them to show that you have the skills for the role.

---------- - our primary focus is the field hockey market. We also have a large club teamwear department. We have also launched Y1 Padel. Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world an area of big focus for us in 2025.

---------- - our custom clothing brand. We make custom garments for sports clubs and societies. Our popular products are custom quarter zips, hoodies, gilets, boonies etc. We have only launched this website in the last 6 months.

We are a UK based sports startup company, we have 12 employees in the UK and 12 in the Philippines.

Role:
- To do a full audit on our websites and come up with a strategy to increase our rankings for specific key search terms
- Weekly improvements to the website and regular blog posts
- Weekly reporting to the team on the changes being made and the impact on website traffic / results from organic
- Educating our team on how to improve SEO
- A/B testing - testing different techniques and measuring results

We are looking for someone incredibly proactive to take the lead and help our business with their expertise.

Start Date will be on Jan 1st April.
