We are a U.S.-based real estate company seeking a full-time Property Researcher with experience in title abstraction and chain of title analysis.
This role involves deep property research, including reviewing county land records, analyzing chain of title (including intestate/heirship situations), identifying ownership issues, and conducting genealogical research (obituaries, heirs, public records, etc.).
We will train you on our internal research process, but prior experience with U.S. title research is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform title abstraction and chain of title review
- Research intestate ownership and heirship issues
- Locate heirs using public records, obituaries, and genealogical tools
- Analyze liens, deeds, judgments, and recorded documents
- Follow a structured internal research process and document findings clearly
Requirements:
- Prior experience with U.S. county land records
- Familiarity with chain of title and intestate succession research
- Strong investigative and analytical skills
- Excellent written English
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
