We are seeking a detail-oriented and persistent Credit Repair Specialist to audit credit reports, identify inaccuracies, and execute a strategic plan to improve overall credit health. The primary goal is to remove or correct derogatory items (collections, late payments, charge-offs, etc.) and provide actionable advice to raise credit scores sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis: Conduct a deep-dive audit of reports from all three major bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion).
Dispute Management: Draft and mail customized dispute letters to bureaus and original creditors to challenge inaccurate, obsolete, or unverified information.
Debt Validation: Execute "Debt Validation" requests to ensure collectors have the legal right to collect on reported accounts.
Bureau Correspondence: Manage all follow-up communications, including handling "frivolous" claim rejections or requests for additional documentation.
Strategic Planning: Provide a roadmap for "positive trade-line" building (e.g., credit utilization strategies, identifying high-impact accounts to pay down).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with Consumer Law: Strong working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
