About the Role
We are a growing U.S.-based healthcare organization seeking an Experienced Patient Billing, Statements & Eligibility Specialist whose primary responsibility is handling patient billing statements, eligibility discussions, and billing-related concerns.
This is a high-communication, voice-focused position.
You will speak directly with patients regarding:
Billing statements
Insurance eligibility
Copays, deductibles, coinsurance
Coverage verification
Payment responsibilities
If you are confident on the phone, calm under pressure, and experienced explaining insurance and billing clearly to patients — this role is for you.
Primary Responsibilities
Generate and review patient billing statements
Verify and understand insurance eligibility and benefits
Explain deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and coverage limits
Call patients regarding balances and payment arrangements
Answer inbound billing and eligibility questions
Address patient concerns related to insurance processing
Document all conversations accurately
Coordinate with internal billing team when clarification is needed
Escalate complex or sensitive cases appropriately
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have:
U.S. medical billing experience
Insurance eligibility verification experience
Experience explaining insurance benefits to patients
Strong understanding of:
Deductibles
Out-of-pocket maximums
Copays
Coinsurance
EOBs

Communication Requirements
This is a voice-heavy position. The majority of your role will involve speaking with patients.
You must have:
Excellent spoken English!!!!!

Ability to handle emotional or frustrated patients calmly
Strong active listening skills
Ability to explain complex insurance matters in simple terms
