Job Description:
We are a US Based company looking to hire an experienced Permit Expeditor. A Permit Expeditor is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of securing city permits on behalf of contractors. This includes preparing applications, submitting them to city portals, following up on open jobs, resolving issues with city departments, contractors and homeowners, and updating clients on progress. Online runners handle city submissions through online portals,
Key Responsibilities:
• Review contractor-provided documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Submit permit applications through city or county online portals or via
• Communicate professionally with city officials to resolve missing information, clarifications, or additional requirements.
• Track the status of permit applications and proactively follow up until the permit is issued.
• Update internal systems (CRM Portal) with accurate notes and status changes.
• Notify clients (contractors) of permit progress, fees, or additional steps needed.
• Ensure all required attachments, corrections, or revisions are submitted on time.
Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and persistence when following up with cities.

Hours:
• 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday
• 8AM-4PM PST USA
• (may change to earlier hours to start such as 5AM PST)
• Candidates must be flexible in working hours.
