JAC Dreamscapes is a growing outdoor living design-build company based in the East Bay, California.
We are looking for a highly experienced QuickBooks expert who can take full ownership of our bookkeeping and financial organization.
This is NOT a data-entry role.
We need someone who:
Has years of real bookkeeping/accounting experience
Understands construction job costing
Can build clean financial systems from scratch
Can take initiative and lead
Can teach and guide the owner on financial clarity
We currently do not have structured bookkeeping in place. You will help build it properly.
???? Responsibilities
You will:
• Set up and organize QuickBooks Online properly
• Clean up and structure chart of accounts
• Categorize and reconcile past transactions
• Create job costing structure for construction projects
• Track revenue, cost of goods, materials, labor, and overhead
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards monthly
• Create monthly Profit & Loss reports
• Create cash flow tracking system
• Build financial dashboards in Google Sheets
• Track project profitability per job
• Create budget forecasting spreadsheets
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure sales tax tracking accuracy
• Prepare reports for CPA when needed
• Educate the owner on financial health metrics
You must be able to take initiative and recommend improvements.

• 3+ years QuickBooks Online experience (Required)
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping & accounting principles
• Construction / job costing experience strongly preferred
• Experience building financial systems from scratch
• Advanced Google Sheets skills (formulas, dashboards, tracking)
• Strong reconciliation experience
• Ability to explain financial reports clearly

• Able to build clean, simple reporting systems

• Have worked with US-based construction companies
• Understand job costing deeply
• Have worked with companies doing $500K–$5M annually

• Part-time to start (10–20 hours/week)
