Cleo+Coco is next-level clean with high-performance deodorants and functional personal care — from deodorant balms, powders, and sprays. We have a growing presence across Instagram and TikTok and we want our social media to reflect the same quality, creativity, and authenticity we put into our products. We benchmark ourselves against brands like Salt & Stone, Nimbi, and Joan's Road Beauty.
The Role
We're looking for a talented and organised Social Media Manager to take ownership of our social calendar and community across Instagram and TikTok. This isn't just a scheduling role — we want someone who can build genuine community, generate high-quality UGC, drive engagement, and understand the nuances of platforms like WeChat and TYB. You'll be the voice of Cleo+Coco online.
You will need several contactable hours that overlap with New York City working hours (9 AM–6 PM ET).
What You'll Own
• Planning and managing the social media content calendar across Instagram and TikTok
• Community management — responding to comments, DMs, and building genuine relationships with our audience, including utilising WeChat as a messaging tool within Instagram to engage with our community
• Sourcing, coordinating, and quality-reviewing UGC (user-generated content) that meets our brand standards
• Managing our presence and community strategy on TYB (Try Your Best)
• Writing compelling captions, content briefs, and creator outreach messages in our brand voice
• Collaborating with our Video Editor and Animator to ensure assets are posted effectively and on-brand
• Tracking and reporting on content performance across all platforms — reach, engagement, saves, follower growth, link clicks
• Identifying trending content formats, sounds, and cultural moments relevant to natural personal care
• Supporting influencer and creator seeding programmes
• Maintaining a consistent, high-quality output that positions Cleo+Coco among leading clean beauty brands
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience managing social media for a consumer brand — beauty, wellness, or personal care experience strongly preferred
• Strong portfolio of social accounts you have grown or managed, with measurable results
• Experience managing or growing UGC programmes and working with creators
• Familiarity with TYB (Try Your Best) community platform and comfortable using WeChat as a messaging tool within
Instagram for community engagement
• Strong eye for content quality — you know what looks premium and what doesn't
• Excellent written English and a natural, engaging brand voice
• Highly organised — comfortable managing a content calendar weeks in advance
• Analytical mindset — able to read performance data and adapt strategy accordingly
• Availability to overlap with NYC hours (9 AM–6 PM ET) for several hours per day
