ACS Consulting is a growing business support company that works with small and medium-sized businesses across different industries. We provide professional support in operations, technical services, compliance assistance, and administrative management to help businesses run more efficiently and effectively.
As our client base continues to grow, our internal financial processes and bookkeeping requirements are becoming more complex. We need a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced bookkeeper who can help us maintain accurate financial records, improve financial organization, and ensure proper accounting practices are followed.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely, proactive in managing financial data, and experienced in using Xero as the primary accounting platform.
About the Role
-This is a part-time position with approximately 20 hours per week.
Your Main Responsibilities
As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting processes:
-Bookkeeping & Accounting Tasks
-Record and categorize financial transactions in Xero
-Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
-Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking
-Maintain accurate and organized financial records
-Monitor cash flow and update financial data regularly
-Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
-Prepare basic financial reports when required
-Xero Management
-Maintain accurate data entry within Xero
-Reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy
-Ensure transactions are properly coded and categorized
-Maintain proper documentation and digital records
-Assist with improving bookkeeping systems and processes inside Xero
Additional Support (If Needed)
-Communicate with tea
-Coordinate with external accountants if required
-Support documentation for tax preparation or compliance
-Assist with financial reporting for management review
-You will play a key role in ensuring financial transparency and accuracy within the company.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with practical experience and proven knowledge in bookkeeping.
-1 to 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support
-Strong experience using Xero
-Knowledge of basic accounting principles
-Experience in bank reconciliation and transaction management
-Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
-Experience preparing financial reports or summaries
-Relevant certification in bookkeeping or accounting is an advantage but not required if experience is demonstrated.
Technical Requirements:
-Must be highly experienced with Xero
-Ability to manage financial records accurately
-Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data
-Knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation

-Ability to meet deadlines consistently
-Strong time management skills
-Able to work independently with minimal supervision
-Reliable internet connection and professional workspace
