PHP Developer - Remote Position

Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our remote team and support critical business automation projects, custom portal development, and AI-powered tools. This role is essential for advancing our digital transformation initiatives and supporting our distributed workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress-based intranet portals and business applications
- Build and maintain API integrations with business systems (Salesforce, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, Clockify, Zapier, Expensify)
- Provide internal IT support and troubleshooting for remote employees
- Ensure website security, performance, and uptime
- Design and implement business process automation solutions
- Support AI development projects including chat functionality and automated evaluation tools
- Database management and optimization
- Support internal teams with tech solutions, including automations and integrations of existing tools and platforms
- Participate in daily team huddles and provide regular project updates (15-30 minutes)

Required Technical Skills
- PHP Development: 5+ years experience with modern PHP (7.4+)
- LAMP Stack: Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP
- WordPress: Custom plugin/theme development, REST API integration
- Database Management: MySQL optimization, complex queries, data modeling
- API Development: RESTful services, third-party integrations
- Version Control: Git workflows and collaborative development
- Frontend Integration: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 for full-stack projects
- Web & Server Security: Deep knowledge of security protocols and troubleshooting technical issues
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with US-based teams, particularly over phone and video calls
- Versatility: Comfort with diverse tasks, from managing support tickets to optimizing databases or troubleshooting server issues

Preferred Experience
- Business System Integration: QuickBooks API, accounting software connections
- Manufacturing/Industrial Software: ERP systems, project management tools
- Process Automation: Workflow automation, data import/export systems
- AI/ML Tools: Experience with AI APIs, chatbot development
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, or similar hosting environments
- Security: Authentication systems, data protection protocols
