Before applying, read this entire post carefully. If you do not meet any of the requirements below, do not apply.
We are building a high-quality YouTube documentary channel focused on natural disasters and major catastrophic events that have impacted the world. Our content explores earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, extreme weather events, survival stories, and large-scale crises through structured, research-driven storytelling with cinematic intensity and professional production value.
We are hiring a full-time experienced video editor for a long-term collaboration starting immediately.
The initial workload is 12 videos per month (3 per week), with an average duration of around 40 minutes per video.
Turnaround Time (Non-Negotiable)
Each video must be delivered within 48 hours.
This deadline is strict. Consistency and speed are critical.
If the 48-hour turnaround is not respected, the collaboration will end.
Compensation
The rate is $0.5 USD per finished minute.
If a video is 40 minutes long, the payment will be $20 per video.
At 12 videos per month, this equals approximately $250 per month.
We manage multiple YouTube channels (36+ channels), and we are looking for someone who can scale with us.
If production scales to 36 videos per month, the total monthly payment would be approximately:
36 videos × $20 = $720–$750 per month,
depending on the total number of finished minutes delivered at the end of the month.
Payment scales based on total delivered minutes.
Important: Ability to Scale
We are looking for someone who has the capacity to build or manage a small team of editors if necessary.
The goal is to scale production up to 36 videos per month across multiple channels.
If you have your own editing team or the ability to manage additional editors under your supervision, that is a major advantage.
We are building long-term and need someone who can grow with the operation.

This is NOT basic stock editing.
These videos require high-quality cinematic B-roll.
No low-quality random stock footage.
Footage must be sourced professionally from:

You must understand how to properly use footage to avoid copyright issues. We are looking for someone with real YouTube experience who understands Content ID, fair use, and platform policies to prevent claims and strikes.
We are looking for an advanced editor only.
You Must:
Have strong experience editing for YouTube channels
Understand how the YouTube platform works
Know how to avoid copyright claims and strikes
Be experienced in long-form documentary storytelling
Replicate the exact style of the reference videos
Have strong cinematic pacing and tension-building skills

Do not apply if you cannot match this level.
Work Commitment
Must be able to work at least 10 hours per day if required
Capable of handling up to 36 videos per month
Deliver consistently within 48 hours
Maintain structured workflow and production discipline
Mandatory Test Edit
To be considered, you must complete the mandatory 1-minute test edit:
Once we receive your test edit and it meets our standards, we begin immediately.
We are building at scale and require discipline, speed, advanced skill, and long-term commitment.
Apply only if you are serious and capable of operating at a professional level.
