Insightful Psychiatry is a multi-state telepsychiatry group practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality mental health care. We are rapidly onboarding new psychiatric providers and are seeking an experienced Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist to manage payer enrollment and ensure our clinicians are in-network to provide care.
Position Overview
The Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of insurance enrollment and credentialing for our group NPI and individual providers. The ideal candidate has direct experience with commercial insurance payers and CAQH management, and can work independently to ensure timely and accurate enrollment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage credentialing and enrollment for new providers (PMHNPs, psychiatrists, etc.) across multiple states.
Maintain and update group and individual CAQH profiles, NPPES (NPI-1 & NPI-2), and payer portals.
Submit enrollment and recredentialing applications to insurance companies.
Track credentialing status, follow up with payers, and resolve application delays or issues.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, delegated credentialing agreements, and practice standards.
Assist in adding new service locations and maintaining group contracts.
Coordinate with providers to collect necessary documents (licenses, malpractice insurance, CVs, etc.).
Provide regular updates and reporting to practice leadership.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in insurance credentialing and enrollment (psychiatry/behavioral health experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of CAQH, NPPES, and payer enrollment workflows.
Experience with private/commercial insurance credentialing
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive with follow-ups.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
