JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly skilled, full-time video editor to join our team.

Your primary responsibility will be transforming long-form YouTube vlogs into highly engaging vertical Shorts (10 seconds to 60 seconds) for YouTube Shorts and TikTok.

This is not basic clipping work. We are looking for someone who understands pacing, framing, and viral short-form storytelling.
This role is long-term and may expand into additional creative opportunities as we grow.

Core Responsibilities:

• Watch full-length YouTube vlogs (horizontal format)
• Identify the most exciting, emotional, funny, or dramatic ---------- nts
• Cut those ---------- nts into short-form clips (10–60 seconds)
• Convert horizontal footage into vertical format (9:16)
• Adjust cropping and framing precisely to keep key subjects centered
• Manually reframe shots when needed (frame-by-frame adjustments when required)
• Add subtitles, captions, zooms, and pacing enhancements when appropriate
• Deliver optimized clips for YouTube Shorts and TikTok

The shorts must feel exciting and viral-ready.

Technical Requirements (Mandatory):

You must:

• Be highly experienced with professional editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut Pro, or similar)
• Understand vertical reframing techniques
• Be able to dynamically crop and reframe horizontal footage for vertical
• Understand how to keep subjects properly centered
• Have strong pacing and storytelling instincts
• Understand viral short-form content structure
• Be comfortable working independently

You must be able to download YouTube videos in high quality.
We will provide access to premium software for this at no cost.

Creative Requirements:

• Strong understanding of U.S. family-style vlog content
• Ability to recognize emotional beats and viral ---------- nts
• Strong instinct for what performs on Shorts and TikTok
• Ability to make clips feel high-energy and engaging

This is not just technical editing — you must understand the audience.
This Is NOT for Beginners

Do NOT apply if:

• You only have basic editing skills
• You have never created viral short-form content
• You cannot properly reframe horizontal footage for vertical
• You cannot confidently identify high-retention ---------- nts

All candidates will be required to complete 1–2 short test edits to demonstrate skill level.
