We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Freelance Web Developer to support our fireplace and outdoor living brand. This is an ongoing freelance role requiring up to 6 hours per week, with a fixed compensation of $65 per week.

Role: WordPress + Web Developer
• Schedule: be available for comms 40 hours/week | Full-Time | Must be available for collaboration during EST working hours
• Rate: $65 USD/week
• Duration: Long-term (with a raise to $150/week after 3 months based on performance)

we are looking for someone who can grow with us and consistently enhance our website’s performance, user experience, and visual appeal.

???? About the Role

You will work alongside our web platform host (WhyFire) to help build and optimize product pages, support quoting tools integration, design banners, and ensure the website remains modern, engaging, and conversion-focused.

We need someone who understands that a website is not just functional — it must be intuitive, scannable, visually elevated, and built to convert traffic into real leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Build out and enhance product pages (layout, content structure, images, graphics)
• Collaborate with WhyFire platform team on quoting tools and backend integrations
• Design and implement promotional banners for seasonal campaigns
• Improve UX/UI to increase conversions and user engagement
• Ensure pages are optimized for scannability and clean navigation
• Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, hierarchy, and design standards
• Upload and optimize images and graphics for performance
• Update blog posts, landing pages, and promotional content as needed
• Assist in improving SEO structure and Google Search Console readiness
• Communicate weekly with our internal team regarding updates and needs

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in WordPress development
• Experience working with custom themes and frameworks
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP
• Experience building conversion-driven product pages
• Ability to design clean, modern layouts
• Experience with quoting tools, lead forms, or e-commerce structures preferred
• Strong visual design instincts (typography, spacing, layout balance)
• Highly organized and responsive communicator
