We’re looking for a skilled video editor to take long-form YouTube content (10–30 minutes) and turn it into high-retention episodes, then repurpose the best
We are in the niche of healthy longevity.
What you’ll be editing
Long-form YouTube videos: 10–30 minutes
Repurposed content: 3–10 Shorts per long-form video (varies by episode)
Responsibilities
Edit long-form videos with strong pacing, clarity, and retention-focused structure
Sync and cut multi-cam footage (multiple angles) with clean switching
Add graphs/charts, on-screen callouts, lower thirds, and visual emphasis
Create simple animations (pop-ins, motion text, transitions, highlights—not full cartoon animation)
Improve audio (basic cleanup, leveling) and ensure clean, polished delivery
Repurpose long-form content into Shorts:
Identify standout
Add captions/subtitles, hooks, punchy pacing, and framing for vertical
Export correctly for Shorts (9:16) and long-form (16:9)
Required Skills
Proven experience editing YouTube long-form content
Ability to create charts/graphs and integrate them cleanly into edits
Comfortable with multi-camera editing workflows
Basic motion graphics / simple animation experience
Strong storytelling instincts (pattern interrupts, pacing, emphasis, clarity)
Tools (any of these are fine)
Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects or DaVinci Resolve (Fusion ok) or Final Cut Pro
Ability to deliver project files or organized exports when requested
Deliverables (per episode)
1 edited long-form video (16:9) with clean audio + light motion graphics
3–10 Shorts (9:16) with captions + hooks + fast pacing
Export files optimized for YouTube (and optional social variants if needed)
Nice-to-Haves
Thumbnail sense / basic thumbnail assistance
Strong caption styling for Shorts (karaoke-style, emphasis words, etc.)
