Molecular Biology Products Inc. (MBP) is a growing North American supplier of molecular biology reagents and lab consumables serving academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical laboratories. We help research teams reduce cost per reaction through strategic sourcing and high-quality alternatives to major brands.
We are seeking a confident, energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) whose primary role is outbound cold calling to research labs and procurement teams across North America.
Role Overview
This role is focused on generating qualified meetings for our sales team through high-volume outbound calling. You will introduce MBP to lab managers, procurement officers, and scientists, positioning our cost-saving solutions and securing discovery meetings.
If you are comfortable on the phone, resilient to rejection, and motivated by targets, this role offers strong growth potential in scientific sales.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to academic and biotech laboratories
Introduce MBP’s value proposition and cost-saving sourcing solutions
Identify lab decision-makers (lab managers, procurement, PIs)
Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for Account Executives
Maintain accurate CRM records of calls and outcomes
Follow call scripts and continuously refine messaging
Meet or exceed weekly call and meeting targets
Ideal Candidate
Confident, clear, and professional speaking voice
Comfortable making 60–120+ cold calls per day
Strong persistence and resilience to rejection
Excellent English communication skills
Organized and target-driven
Prior SDR, telemarketing, or cold-calling experience preferred
B2B or scientific/medical sales exposure is a plus
Compensation
Base pay (hourly or salary depending on experience)
Performance bonuses per qualified meeting
