Job Summary
Casey Mental Health Collaborative is seeking an experienced and highly organized Credentialing Specialist to oversee provider credentialing, recredentialing, payer enrollment, and provider maintenance across multiple commercial and government insurance plans.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring our psychiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other providers remain properly credentialed and enrolled with insurance payers so they can provide uninterrupted patient care.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and comfortable independently managing numerous applications, deadlines, and follow-up tasks simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities
-Prepare and submit initial credentialing and recredentialing applications with commercial insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare networks.
-Complete provider enrollment and payer contracting applications.
-Monitor application status and proactively communicate with insurance companies until credentialing and enrollment are complete.
-Maintain accurate provider files, including:
Professional licenses
DEA registrations
Board certifications
Malpractice insurance
NPI documentation
Collaborative agreements (when applicable)
Continuing education documentation
-Track expiration dates and coordinate renewals to prevent credentialing lapses.
-Maintain and attest CAQH profiles on a timely basis.
-Complete Medicare PECOS enrollment and maintenance.
-Complete Medicaid enrollment and maintenance as applicable.
-Maintain payer portal accounts and provider demographic information.
-Coordinate provider onboarding with administrative, billing, and leadership teams.
-Work closely with the billing department to resolve credentialing-related claim issues.
-Maintain detailed credentialing trackers and status reports.
-Respond promptly to provider, payer, and internal staff inquiries.
-Maintain compliance with organizational policies and federal, state, and payer credentialing requirements.
-Assist with special credentialing, contracting, and provider enrollment projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience
-Minimum of 2 years of healthcare credentialing or provider enrollment experience.
-Experience credentialing physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, therapists, or other licensed healthcare professionals.
-Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
-Experience using CAQH ProView required.

-NCTracks or other Medicaid enrollment portals
-Behavioral health credentialing
-Medical billing or revenue cycle operations
-Multi-state provider credentialing
-Provider contracting and payer enrollment
Required Skills
