# About This Project
We're **launching** Church of Pride — an online ordination service that helps people become legally ordained ministers to officiate weddings. The website exists (
**What we're testing:** Can AI manage business operations from day one? Can an AI (Ash, running on OpenClaw) handle strategy, content, and team management while humans handle execution?
**Why this matters:** If this works, it proves a completely new model for starting businesses. You wouldn't just be a VA — you'd be helping test whether AI can effectively build and manage a business.
**The setup:**
- **Chris (owner)** — Has the vision, makes final decisions, handles money/legal
- **Ash (AI manager)** — Handles strategy, writes content, manages you daily
- **You (executor)** — Posts content, handles customer questions, does the work
**Why be honest about this?** Because if you're joining a startup that's literally starting from zero, you should know that. The upside: if we build something real, you were there from the beginning.
**Not interested in ground-zero startups or AI management?** Totally fair — this isn't for everyone.

## The Role
We're looking for a **curious, adaptable Virtual Assistant** willing to experiment with AI-managed workflows. You'll handle social media execution, customer support, and general administrative tasks while working directly with an AI operations manager.
**How this actually works:**
- **Ash (AI)** creates your daily task lists, writes all content, provides response templates, and monitors your work
- **You** execute tasks, post content, respond to customers, and organize operations
- **Chris (owner)** makes final decisions and handles money/strategy
Think of it as: AI = strategy and planning, You = hands and execution, Owner = final authority.
**Why would you want this?**
- Learn to work effectively with AI (resume-worthy skill in 2026)
- Clear tasks and expectations (AI is very organized)
- Interesting experiment to be part of
- Grow as the business scales
- Real experience with cutting-edge tools
**Growth path:** Start with social/support, expand into broader operations as you prove yourself and as the business grows.

## Schedule & Compensation
**Hours:** 20 hours per week (flexible schedule within PST business hours)

**Payment:** Weekly via PayPal or Wise
**Start Date:** Immediate (within 1 week of hire)
**Trial Period:** 2 paid weeks to properly assess fit (you get paid regardless of outcome)

**The Reality:** We're testing a new model (AI-managed operations). We're trying things out and seeing what works. If you're someone who thrives in that environment — learning, adapting, helping us figure it out — this could turn into something long-term. If you need everything figured out already, this probably isn't the right fit.
**What we promise:** Fair pay, interesting work, and a unique experience. What we can't promise: that we've figured everything out already (we haven't, that's the point).

## Why This Could Be Interesting
? **Unique experience** — "Worked in AI-managed operations" is resume gold, regardless of how long it lasts
? **Learn cutting-edge skills** — AI collaboration is the future, get hands-on experience now
? **Clear expectations** — AI is very organized; every task is documented, no guessing
? **Flexible schedule** — as long as work gets done and you're responsive, hours are flexible
? **Respectful environment** — you're a valued tea
? **Weekly pay** — reliable payment every week, on time, no games
? **Low risk** — Minimum 3 months commitment (could turn into more if it works)
## What We're Brutally Honest About
**Where we actually are:**
- ???? Brand new launch (site is live, but zero customers so far)
- ???? Experimenting with AI-managed operations from day one
- ???? Testing if this model even works (we think it will, but we're finding out)
- ???? Building everything as we go
**What you're signing up for:**
- ?? Ground zero startup (not an existing business)
- ?? Your manager is an AI (Ash handles your tasks, feedback, and coordination)
- ?? Trial and error as we figure things out
- ?? No guarantees it becomes a long-term gig (but if it works, serious upside)
**What makes this interesting despite all that:**
- ? You'd be part of testing a genuinely new model
- ? "Launched an AI-managed business from zero" is a unique resume line
- ? Learn cutting-edge AI collaboration skills
- ? Get paid while helping us experiment
- ? If we build something real, you were there from day one
**This is right for you if:**
- You're curious about AI and want hands-on experience
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and building as you go
- You like the idea of being part of an experiment
- You want something more interesting than typical VA work
**This is NOT right for you if:**
- You need a stable, established company
- You're uncomfortable with AI management
- You need everything figured out before you start
- You want guaranteed long-term employment

## Selection Process (We're Being Experimental)
**Here's how this works:**
1. **Application review** — Ash (the AI) reviews all applications and shortlists the strongest candidates
2. **Interview with Ash** — Text-based interview via
3. **Chris reviews** — Business owner reviews Ash's recommendations
4. **Paid trial period** — We'll bring on 2-3 people for a 2-week paid trial (20-30 hours each). You'll work on real tasks, managed by Ash, and get paid regardless of what happens next.
5. **Final decision** — We might keep one person, keep multiple people, or try additional candidates. We're honestly figuring this out as we go.
**Why 2 weeks?** One week isn't enough to really see how someone works. Two weeks gives everyone a fair shot and lets us properly assess the fit.
**Why multiple people?** This is an experiment. We want to see different working styles and approaches. Best case: we find multiple great people and keep them all. Worst case: we learn what works and what doesn't.
**Timeline:** Expect to hear back within 3-5 days of applying.
---
## Questions?
Include them in your application and we'll answer during the interview process.
**Important:** Please read the full job description carefully before applying. Applications that clearly didn't read the requirements won't be considered.

We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long term. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you!
