Field Nine Group is a strategic communications portfolio company led by Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient Adriana Lacy. Our design studio, Channel Nine Studio, provides design services for media organizations, newsrooms, and consulting clients globally. We produce everything from brand identities and social media assets to print publications and presentation decks.

About the Role
We're looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our design team and work alongside our Senior Designer. You'll support a range of design projects across Channel Nine Studio's client base — from social media graphics and presentation decks to print layouts and brand materials. This role is ideal for a designer who is hungry to grow, takes direction well, and wants to build their portfolio with meaningful work for major media and communications clients.

Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Design Work
Create social media graphics, infographics, and visual assets for clients across multiple brands
Design presentation decks, one-pagers, and client-facing documents
Assist with print layout and production including magazines, reports, and marketing materials
Adapt existing brand templates for new content and campaigns

Production Support
Prepare files for print and digital output (bleeds, crop marks, color profiles, export settings)
Resize and reformat designs across platforms and dimensions
Source and edit images, ensuring proper resolution and licensing
Maintain organized file structures in Google Drive and design tool libraries

Collaboration
Work closely with the Senior Designer on larger projects — take direction, execute efficiently, and ask questions when needed
Implement feedback quickly and accurately across revision rounds
Communicate progress and flag potential issues proactively via Slack

Requirements
1–3 years of graphic design experience (agency, freelance, or in-house)
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required
Experience with print production (understanding of CMYK, bleed, DPI, preflight basics)
Strong proficiency in Figma (primary design tool) and working knowledge of Canva
Strong typography skills and an eye for layout and visual hierarchy
Ability to take creative direction and execute with precision
Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working independently
Portfolio demonstrating a range of design work across digital and print
Strong English communication skills — you’ll be receiving direction from US-based clients and need to communicate clearly via Slack and email

Nice to Have
Experience designing for media, journalism, or publishing clients
Motion graphics or basic video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere)
Experience with magazine or editorial layout
Familiarity with web design and basic HTML/CSS
