We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to manage complex accounting tasks. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the financial closing process, preparing detailed financial statements, and providing valuable insights to management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations and analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all sales taxes, payroll, and company registrations.
- Manage client accounts, including project updates and proactive communication.
- Review and train junior tea
- Troubleshoot and problem solve client issues.
- Ensuring that all bookkeeping is completed by the deadline
- Client account management including client communication and project updates
- Ensuring that all Sales taxes, payroll, company registrations and more, are filed timely and accurately
- Tax returns and status management/completion on time
- Reporting on all clients - bookkeeping/sales tax/tax clients
- Training and reviewing team's work. Evaluating what tasks need to be completed to get to goals as communicated by the leadership
- Problem solving and troubleshooting on all client issues
- Keeping track and renewing all the licenses
- Client account ownership
- Exceptional client communication via calls, messages,
- Status management for projects assigned to the team
- Staying alert and vigilant to all team questions and requests
- Proactive approach on all tasks and projects
- Collaborate with team to problem solve and troubleshoot on client issues
- Review all tasks and projects completed by the team, suggest changes and updates, and make correction before finalizing
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in advanced accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
