JOB OVERVIEW

Commercial Lighting Distributor seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional with years of hands-on experience in takeoffs, estimating, and plan creation using PlanSwift and/or Bluebeam. This role requires a confident communicator who can independently manage takeoffs, create plans, request pricing, and handle documentation with minimal supervision. Training will not be provided for core software skills—candidates must already be proficient.
Experience with AGI32 is a plus but not required. Limited training may be provided for lighting and controls. Previous experience in the lighting /electrical field is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate and efficient takeoffs and estimating using PlanSwift and/or Bluebeam
Create, modify, and manage plans based on project drawings and specifications
Interpret construction documents, plans, and scopes of work
Request pricing and follow up with vendors and manufacturers
Review, analyze, and understand vendor and subcontractor quotes
Create, organize, and import spec sheets into project documentation
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal tea ---------- mbers
Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and potential issues in plans or quotes
Maintain organized records and documentation for projects
Write professional emails and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools
Participate in phone calls with vendors and tea ---------- mbers, confidently leading conversations when needed
Required Qualifications
Years of proven experience in takeoffs, estimating, and plan creation
Advanced proficiency in PlanSwift and/or Bluebeam
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Clear, confident speaking voice; able to speak loud and clear on the phone
Ability to control and lead conversations professionally
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, responsible, and highly communicative tea ---------- mber
Must work in a quiet environment suitable for phone calls
