JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Video & Audio Editor to play a critical role in shaping the visual and auditory content of the Cybersecurity Marketing Society. This individual will be responsible for:
Editing webinars and long videos into full-length videos
Editing video content into captivating short clips
Making creative videos formatted for social media
Podcast editing: Audio editing/sound design for podcasts
Editing our podcast episodes into video and short clips

This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a passion for cybersecurity, marketing, and digital content creation.

This role also requires the ideal candidate to:
Communicate effectively in a digital environment
Track project progress on a shared project management system (Asana)
Use TimeDoctor to track hours
Teamwork: working well with the Society team and our other contractors (such as fellow audio/video editors)
Meet deadlines

Responsibilities:
Edit recorded webinars into polished full-length videos and engaging short clips for various platforms.
Design and produce creative, compelling videos tailored for social media channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
Collaborate with the content/writing/podcast team to develop video concepts that align with our marketing goals and audience interests.
Advise on the video specs for various platforms.
Manage and organize video and audio files efficiently.
Provide input on visual storytelling and help to storyboard ideas when necessary.
Experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements in videos.
Apply audio editing skills for podcast content, ensuring clear, well-balanced sound across all episodes.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in video and audio production, editing software, and social media formats.
Participate in tea ---------- etings, mostly in Eastern Time Zone (USA), and collaborate effectively with remote tea ---------- mbers.
Requirements:
Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn audio editing, preferably with experience in Audacity or Adobe Audition.
Creative mindset with attention to detail and an eye for quality.
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

Interest in or knowledge of cybersecurity topics or marketing topics is nice but not required.
