Position Summary
We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence Specialist to support and optimize AI use across clinical and operational workflows focused in the ambulatory surgery center environment. This role focuses on practical deployment of AI tools to improve compliance, documentation, reporting, training, and operational efficiency. The specialist will work closely with clinical leadership, compliance teams, and administrative staff to translate real world needs into effective AI driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, manage, and optimize use of AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot for clinical and operational tasks.
Develop prompts, templates, and workflows that support compliance, credentialing, QAPI, infection control, and regulatory readiness.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify high value AI use cases and automate repetitive processes.
Create governance standards for responsible AI use, including data privacy, HIPAA considerations, and output validation.
Train staff on appropriate and effective use of AI tools for documentation, reporting, and communication.
Monitor AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and regulatory alignment and refine workflows accordingly.
Support integration of AI into existing systems such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and operational databases.
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices related to AI usage in clinical operations.
Qualifications
Experience working with large language models such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot in a professional setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare or clinical operations, preferably in ambulatory surgery centers or outpatient settings.
Familiarity with healthcare compliance concepts and data privacy requirements.
Ability to translate operational needs into structured AI prompts and workflows.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and workflow tools is preferred.
Background in healthcare administration, nursing, informatics, data science, or a related field is a plus.
