JOB OVERVIEW

An experienced insurance follow-up / medical billing professional who can confidently call U.S. insurance carriers/TPAs, navigate their systems, and consistently get unpaid No Surprises Act (NSA) IDR awards paid.

ob description* (paste this whole block)

We are hiring an NSA / No Surprises Act IDR Award Collections Specialist to collect unpaid Federal IDR awards by calling insurance carriers/TPAs and driving payment through to completion.

This is a phone-heavy role. You must speak fluent, professional English and be confident making outbound calls to U.S. insurance companies to get these claims/awards paid.

Core Responsibilities

Make high-volume outbound calls to insurance carriers/TPAs to collect unpaid NSA IDR awards and secure firm payment timelines.

Navigate payer departments effectively (claims, appeals/grievances, provider services/relations, escalations) and push files forward until paid.

Provide clear, professional English communication on every call; obtain reference numbers, call notes, supervisor names, and confirmed next steps.

Track each award from “award issued” ? “payment received,” including call logs, follow-up cadence, and documentation status.

Submit and follow up on required documentation (IDR award letter, dispute identifiers, claim details, payee/tax ID confirmation, etc.).

Identify and resolve common non-payment issues (no record found, misrouting, missing attachment, incorrect payee, EOB/ERA mismatch, reprocessing needed, system notes not updated).

Escalate appropriately when overdue (supervisor escalation, provider rep, written follow-up per our workflow) and keep management updated.

Required Experience

Strong U.S. medical billing / insurance collections / claims follow-up experience.

Fluent English (spoken and written) with a confident, professional phone presence.

Proven ability to call payers and get results (not just “status checks”).

Highly organized: able to manage many files, keep clean notes, and follow a process.

Familiarity with No Surprises Act / Federal IDR is required.

Success Metrics

Faster payment timelines and fewer stuck files.

Higher conversion rate of unpaid awards to paid.

Clean, audit-ready tracking and reliable weekly updates.

To apply, please include:
