Overview
We’re seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst / FP&A Accountant to manage end-to-end financial processes, deliver strategic insights, and drive profitability through data-driven analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, support decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial, sales, marketing, and product data to identify revenue opportunities and margin improvements.
- Evaluate pricing models, unit economics, customer-level profitability, and cost structures.
- Collaborate with functional leads to implement corrective actions.
- Build dashboards and analytical tools to support management decisions.
- Lead month-end close (reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, reporting).
- Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.
- Deliver monthly management reports with insights and recommended actions.
- Support leadership with scenario planning and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee daily financial operations across WooCommerce,
- Partner with operations/tech teams to automate recurring processes.
- Maintain high-quality financial data through reconciliations and audit checks.
- Identify and implement process improvements using automation tools.
- Stay updated on industry standards, automation tools, and AI-driven finance advancements.
- Recommend system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Demonstrate a proactive, growth-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Experience preparing management reports with actionable insights.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online,
- Strong attention to detail, data validation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in eCommerce, technology, or high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Data Studio).
- Experience with automation tools (Zapier, Make, scripting languages).
- Understanding of financial workflows and system integrations.
