Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accessories Product Developer to manage the end-to-end development of branded soft goods accessories for a licensed fashion project. This role combines technical design, product development, and production project management and will work directly with factories, licensors, and internal stakeholders.
This is a remote, contract-based role with fast turnaround timelines and high attention to detail required.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Technical Design
Create complete factory-ready tech packs for soft goods accessories, including:
Terry cloth pouches
Satin eye masks
Satin scrunchies
Microfiber or terry towel scrunchies
Define and confirm:
Dimensions and tolerances
Materials and fabric specs
Stitching, construction, and finishes
Trim details (zippers, elastic, labels)
Ensure all products are designed for durability, quality, and manufacturability
Artwork & Branding Coordination
Brief and manage all logo and artwork applications
Ensure artwork sizing, placement, and application methods are correct per product
Coordinate strike-offs, lab dips, and logo samples
Review and approve samples prior to submission to licensors
Production & Project Management
Oversee production timelines and key milestones
Coordinate with factories and agents to:
Track sample development
Manage revisions efficiently
Flag risks or delays early
Maintain clear documentation and trackers throughout development
Compliance & Packaging
Ensure all products include required:
Material content labels
Care instructions
Country of origin labeling
Advise on compliant packaging solutions (polybags, warnings, etc.)
Quality Control Support
Support QC planning and execution
Review factory QC reports or third-party inspection results
Ensure corrections are addressed prior to shipment
Required Experience & Skills
3–7 years experience in accessories product development or technical design
Strong experience with soft goods / women’s accessories
Proven ability to create detailed tech packs for factories
Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers
Knowledge of:
Fabrics (terry, microfiber, satin, polyester)
Zippers, elastics, trims, and labeling
Logo application techniques
Excellent project management and communication skills
Comfortable working under tight deadlines
Nice to Have
Experience working with licensed brands
Familiarity with US compliance requirements
Prior experience managing multiple SKUs simultaneously
