JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
ProfitCoach is actively hiring experienced Corporate Accounting Specialists with an emphasis on the monthly close process to join our U.S. property management accounting team.

This is a full-time, long-term remote role supporting property management companies with corporate accounting, monthly financial reviews, payroll recording, reconciliations, and accounting cleanup.

Ideal Start Date: Immediately
Hours of Work: Hourly, anticipated 40 hours/week
Compensation: $7–$10/hour
Status: Full-time position

Responsibilities:
-Perform monthly financial reviews for 20+ clients, including P&L and Balance Sheet analysis
-Identify key variances, trends, and unusual items, and follow up with clients as needed
-Draft client-facing emails summarizing findings, questions, and recommendations
-Generate and customize financial reports per client requirements
-Assist in accounting cleanup, including backlog categorization, revenue/expense coding, payroll review, and balance sheet adjustments
-Support end-of-month bank and credit card reconciliations
-Backup processing for bank feeds, coding transactions, and suggesting rules for recurring transactions
-Backup payroll recording, including creating journal entries and posting to QuickBooks/Xero
-Maintain accurate records and follow SOPs for all tasks

Minimum Requirements:
-Background in Accounting or strong understanding of accounting principles
-Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
-Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
-Strong written communication skills
-Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
-Reliable internet connection
-Ability to work U.S. hours (partial MST/CST/EST overlap)

Preferred:
-Experience with Xero
-Property management accounting experience
-Familiarity with the NARPM Standard Chart of Accounts
-Experience with AppFolio reporting
-Payroll processing and payroll tax filing experience
-Prior experience with financial auditing or reviews
