The Opportunity
We're seeking an exceptional AI Automation Engineer & Full Stack Developer to join our technology team and take ownership of building and maintaining our suite of AI-powered healthcare applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful healthcare technology that directly impacts patient care and medical practice efficiency.
Key Projects You'll Work On
• Instavitals - AI-powered telehealth platform with intelligent medical scribe capabilities that automates clinical documentation and streamlines virtual consultations
• HrDr - AI healthcare recruitment platform specifically designed for Australian GP workforce placement and medical practice staffing optimization
• VoxMed - Voice-enabled medical documentation and workflow automation system
• Practally - Practice management and operational efficiency platform for medical centres
Primary Responsibilities
Full Stack Development
• Design, develop, and maintain production-ready healthcare applications using React and Supabase
• Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces for both patients and healthcare providers
• Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and database architectures
• Implement real-time features and data synchronization across platforms
• Ensure code quality, testing, and documentation standards
AI Automation Engineering
• Integrate and optimize AI/ML models for medical scribe, voice recognition, and clinical documentation
• Develop intelligent automation workflows for healthcare processes
• Implement natural language processing (NLP) for medical transcription and data extraction
• Build AI-powered features for recruitment matching and practice optimization
• Fine-tune and maintain AI models for healthcare-specific use cases
Security & Compliance
• Implement comprehensive security hardening measures
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data protection regulations (HIPAA-equivalent, Australian privacy laws)
• Develop secure authentication and authorization systems
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments
Production Deployment & Maintenance
• Deploy applications to production environments
• Monitor system performance and optimize for scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Required Technical Skills
Must Have:
• Frontend: Expert-level React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, modern UI frameworks
• Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions), RESTful APIs
• AI/ML: Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar), understanding of LLM implementations
• Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows
• Development Tools: VS Code, npm/yarn, debugging tools
Highly Desirable:
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Voice recognition and speech-to-text technologies
• Real-time communication systems (WebRTC)
• Healthcare software development experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
• Python for AI/automation scripts
• Mobile app development (React Native)
• AWS/Azure cloud platforms
• Docker and containerization
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years full-stack development experience
• At least 1-2 years working with AI/ML integration or automation
• Proven track record of delivering production-ready applications
• Portfolio demonstrating complex web applications (healthcare projects a strong plus)
• Experience with healthcare or medical software is highly valued
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
