JOB OVERVIEW

High Demand Electrical is seeking an experienced and reliable bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our electrical contracting business. This role is fully remote and best suited to someone with a strong understanding of Australian tax and payroll requirements, who is comfortable working independently and takes pride in accurate, well organised work.

This is a long term, ongoing role for the right person.

Role details
Part time position
20 hours per week
Fully remote
Flexible working hours, with agreed deadlines

Ongoing work for the right candidate

You will work directly with the business owner and have responsibility for the day to day bookkeeping function.

Key responsibilities
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and support BAS lodgements
Process payroll and support payroll compliance, including super and STP requirements
Prepare and issue invoices and follow up outstanding receivables
Manage supplier payments and accounts
Track expenses across multiple jobs and projects
Process timesheets and job cost information
Prepare and submit ABA payment files
Maintain accurate and up to date financial records
Provide general bookkeeping and administrative support as required

What we are looking for
Demonstrated experience with Australian bookkeeping, BAS, payroll, and ATO compliance
Strong working knowledge of Australian tax and payroll rules
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident and efficient using Xero
Experience working with small businesses, ideally within trades or construction
Able to work independently and manage workloads without supervision
Well organised, reliable, and deadline driven
Positive attitude, professional communication, and a solutions-focused mindset
