Overview (read this carefully before applying)
We are looking for someone who has already implemented hard rules inside live business systems, rules that prevent processes from continuing until a required condition is met.
This is not a research role.
This is not a “figure it out” role.
This is not a consulting or advisory role.
If your background is primarily:
website development
feature building
general automation
experimentation
“I can build something for this”
This is not a fit.
We only want people who already do this kind of work in production environments.
The Type of Work
You will be responsible for configuring system-level controls inside real companies so that:
Certain business actions cannot proceed
Until a specific required action is completed
With clear ownership, logging, and escalation
Examples of the kind of enforcement we mean:
Revenue cannot be billed until required data exists
Deals cannot close until approvals are recorded
Billing cannot proceed unless contract terms are present
Access cannot be granted without verification
Workflows halt until required steps are completed
If you have personally implemented rules like this before, you will immediately recognize the work.
What You Must Already Have Done
You should apply only if you can confidently say yes to all of the following:
You have implemented hard workflow rules in live systems
You have blocked or gated business processes on purpose
You have worked inside billing, payments, CRM, RevOps, ERP, or internal tools
You understand how to enforce rules without breaking production systems
You have dealt with stakeholder pushback when enforcement was introduced
If you’ve never stopped a business process from continuing until a condition was met, this role will not work for you.
What You Will Not Be Asked To Do
You will not design strategy
You will not “explore options”
You will not experiment
You will not pitch ideas
You will not build customer-facing features
Your job is execution only.
You will be given:
A clearly defined condition that must be enforced
A bounded scope
A finite timeline
Your responsibility is to make the system obey the rule.
Typical Systems Involved (varies by client)
You may work inside environments that include:
Billing & payments systems
CRMs
Revenue operations stacks
Internal databases
Workflow automation tools
Access control systems
Exact tools vary. The logic does not.
Engagement Structure
One-time, fixed-scope implementations
Clear start and end conditions
No ongoing retainers
No open-ended support
If you prefer long-term consulting relationships, this is not a fit.
How to Apply (Required)
To be considered, answer all three questions below clearly and directly.
Do not send a generic cover letter.
1.
Describe a real example where you implemented a system rule that prevented a business process from continuing until a required condition was met.
What was blocked, where was it enforced, and why?
2.
What type of company was this implemented in (size, business type), and what systems were involved?
3.
What changed operationally once the rule was enforced?
If you cannot answer these from real experience, do not apply.
Final Note
This role is for people who are comfortable enforcing constraints, not just building tools.
If that sentence resonates immediately, you’re likely a fit.
If it doesn’t, you won’t enjoy this work.
