JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Shopify developer and UI/UX designer

Ohzehn is a performance apparel brand built on discipline, restraint, and long-term trust.
We’re looking for a senior Shopify designer/developer who can execute end to end—and optimize for conversion without compromising brand integrity.

The Role

You will own the design and build of our Shopify ecosystem with a strong emphasis on conversion rate optimization and iterative launch execution.

This includes:
• Building a calm, high-trust Shopify storefront
• Designing and launching new, product- and ad-specific landing pages monthly
• Active Pricing based on inventory and demands
• Making deliberate CRO decisions backed by evidence
• Knowing when native Shopify is enough—and when headless is earned
• Applying psychological principles to layout, flow, and messaging
• Using AI to increase speed, testing velocity, and quality

You will not just “design pages.”
You will design decision environments.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
• Shopify theme and section development (Liquid, metafields, native-first)
• Front-end architecture (HTML, modern CSS, JavaScript)
• Headless builds when justified (Hydrogen / Next.js)
• Designing and shipping conversion-focused landing pages tied to ads and products
• CRO optimization (structure, hierarchy, messaging, flow)
• Performance optimization (LCP, CLS, image strategy)
• Mobile-first execution
• Using AI to support experimentation, QA, and workflow efficiency

Conversion & Psychology (Non-Negotiable)

You must:
• Be experienced in conversion rate optimization
• Understand the psychological drivers behind:

- Attention
- Trust
- Friction
- Motivation
- Commitment

- Shopify & Front-End
- Shopify themes, APIs, Storefront & Admin
- Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+)
- React-based frameworks (Hydrogen / Next.js)
- Performance, accessibility, and scalability
- Design Intelligence
- Strong layout instincts
- White space discipline
- Editorial pacing
- Knows how to guide attention without shouting
- Marketing & Creative Awareness

Basic but solid understanding of:
- Marketing funnels
- Ad landing page alignment
- Creative testing and iteration
- Comfortable collaborating with marketing and creative direction
- Thinks in hypotheses, not just aesthetics
- AI Fluency

Uses AI to:
- Accelerate builds
- Improve testing velocity
- Support content and QA
