Role Summary
We are seeking a remote Sales / Lead Generation Specialist to build and manage a pipeline of public-sector furniture opportunities, primarily SUNY, CUNY, and K–12 public schools, and expand into healthcare accounts. Your core mission is to identify decision-makers, outreach by phone/email, qualify interest, track follow-ups, and hand off qualified leads to a Senior Representative to close.
Key Responsibilities
Call and outreach to schools and public institutions to introduce our furniture solutions and secure project conversations.
Target the correct departments at each institution:
Facilities Department (SUNY / CUNY)
Design & Construction (SUNY / CUNY)
Purchasing / Procurement (SUNY / CUNY / K–12)
Buildings & Grounds (K–12)
Understand and work around the public school budget cycle (June 30 fiscal year end; planning typically in spring).
Build and maintain a contact database (Excel) with:
organization name, department, contact person, phone/email
notes, lead status, and next follow-up date
Prepare contact lists for Mailchimp campaigns (bulk + automated promotional
Qualify opportunities (what they need, timing, budget cycle, delivery window) and route any real lead to the Senior Representative for closing.
Assist with early-stage outreach in healthcare (hospitals, clinics, nursing facilities) by identifying purchasing/facilities contacts and finding who influences furniture/casework decisions.

You’ll introduce us as:
A NYS & NYC Certified Woman-Owned furniture dealership
Approved to work with NYC School Construction Authority (SCA)
Specializing in educational furnishings and representing multiple manufacturers on NYS contract to fit different budgets
You’ll ask how we can support their current or upcoming furniture needs, then set next steps.
Requirements
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong phone confidence: professional, clear, and persistent (without being pushy)
Experience in B2B outreach, lead generation, inside sales, appointment setting, or client communication
Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and organized follow-up tracking
Experience with Mailchimp or similar
Ability to work US business hours (at least partial overlap preferred)
Compensation
Base salary;
Lead Generation Bonus: e.g., $50 per qualified lead that schedules/requests follow-up with senior rep
Success Bonus: e.g., 0.8% of furniture sell price for any project won from your lead

Consistent weekly outreach activity and follow-up completion
