JOB OVERVIEW

Avalon Heating & Air & Electrical is looking for a creative, self-motivated Social Media Content Creator to help grow and elevate our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and many other platforms as we expand.This role is for someone who understands social media strategy, algorithms, and trends, and knows how to turn ideas into engaging short-form video content that actually performs.
? What You’ll Be Doing
-Create and post short-form content across Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, Nextdoor, and additional platforms as needed
-Edit videos using Canva and CapCut (Other platforms ok too)
-Use high-quality stock footage when original content isn’t available
-Turn prompts, scenarios, or simple ideas into scroll-stopping videos
-Generate original content ideas aligned with our brand
-Stay up to date with platform algorithms, social trends, and content formats
-Select relevant trending audio, hooks, and formats
-Optimize content for reach, retention, engagement, saves, and shares
-Maintain a consistent posting schedule
-Take ownership of content performance and continuously improve based on insights
-Collaborate with other tea ---------- mbers, receive feedback and instructions

Proven experience creating short-form video content

Strong understanding of Instagram algorithms and overall social media trends

Confident using Canva and CapCut

Comfortable posting across multiple social platforms, including Nextdoor

Open and adaptable to posting on new or additional platforms as we expand

Creative thinker who can work independently and think outside the box

Knows how to use stock videos in a modern, natural way

Self-motivated, organized, and reliable

Comfortable following a content strategy (hooks, retention, value, CTA)

Clear communicator who meets deadlines

Bonus: Experience with local businesses, service-based brands, or home-related industries

Bonus: Comfortable using AI tools for ideation, scripting, or visuals

MUST have Reliable internet and power source, high quality video and audio for internal communication.
