About the Role
We are building a personal brand focused on performance, mindset, health, and discipline—distributed primarily through short-form social media.
This role is for a Video Editor who understands virality:
pacing
hooks
retention
cultural timing
Not cinematic.
Not corporate.
Fast, sharp, intentional.
The Role
You will work closely with the creator to turn raw footage into high-performing short-form content for platforms like:
Instagram Reels
TikTok
YouTube Shorts
Your job is to keep attention, amplify clarity, and make ideas hit harder—without over-editing.
Responsibilities
Edit short-form videos (15–90 seconds) for viral social platforms
Identify strong hooks and cut quickly to them
Maintain high retention through pacing and structure
Add subtitles/captions optimized for mobile viewing
Use zooms, cuts, and emphasis intentionally (not excessively)
Adapt edits to platform-specific styles and trends
Turn long-form content into multiple short clips
Deliver consistently and quickly
Required Experience
Proven experience editing short-form viral content
Strong understanding of social media retention mechanics
Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
Ability to create clean, readable captions/subtitles
Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and emphasis
Comfortable working with raw, unpolished footage
Very Important
You must understand:
The first 1–2 seconds matter most
Dead air kills performance
Simplicity beats overproduction
Speed > perfection
Nice to Have
Experience editing personal brands or creators
Familiarity with fitness, mindset, or performance content
Ability to suggest hooks or opening lines
Understanding of current TikTok / Reels trends
Editing Style We’re Looking For
Fast-paced but clean
Attention-driven
Minimal fluff
Clear message delivery
Confident, not gimmicky
If your style leans slow, cinematic, or overly polished, this is likely not a fit.

A portfolio or examples of short-form edits
Links to any viral or high-performing videos you’ve edited
The tools you use (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
Your availability (full-time or part-time)
