JOB OVERVIEW

Accountant (Full-Time, Long-Term)

We are a US-based firm hiring one accountant for a long-term role.

This is not freelance or project work.
You will work exclusively for us, during fixed hours, primarily on your own computer, and occasionally by securely remoting into our systems when required.

All work is logged and monitored for security and audit purposes.

We value accuracy, professional judgment, and balance-sheet integrity above speed.

What You Will Own

Month-end close

Bank and credit card reconciliations (as needed)

Balance-sheet GL review, validation and reconciliations (primary position)

Adjusting journal entries

Loan and liability reconciliation

Clean, well-documented audit trail for CPA / tax handoff

You should be able to clearly explain why every balance-sheet account is correct.

You are expected to identify issues proactively, not just process transactions.

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)

Please apply only if you meet ALL of the following:

5+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience

Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency

Regular responsibility for month-end close

Comfortable creating and explaining adjusting journal entries

Solid understanding of balance-sheet accounting

Clear written and spoken English

Reliable internet and power

Dual-monitor workstation

Work Setup & Security

Work is performed on your own computer, with secure remote access to our systems when required

No local storage, downloads, or copies of data

Must be comfortable with reasonable security and audit controls

Work Schedule

40 hours per week

We agree on a Fixed schedule (not flexible hours)

Your 8-hour workday must include at least 2–4 hours of overlap with Florida (EST) between 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM EST.

This role requires full-time focus and availability during agreed hours. Ongoing outside client work during scheduled hours is not permitted.

Updated operating system and active antivirus

Ability to work via secure remote access as required

Comfortable with occasional security or malware scans of the work computer (audit and protection purposes only)
