Job Title: Hospice Medical Coder (Remote – Philippines)

Job Type: Full-Time | Remote
Schedule: U.S. business hours

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hospice Medical Coder with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding specific to hospice care. Prior hospice coding experience is required. This role supports accurate, compliant diagnosis coding for Medicare hospice patients.

Responsibilities:

Assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes for hospice admissions, recertifications, and discharges
Ensure principal and secondary diagnoses support hospice eligibility
Review physician and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance
Align coding with CMS hospice LCD/NCD guidelines
Query providers as needed for clarification
Support audits and compliance reviews
Requirements:

2+ years hospice-specific coding experience (required)
Strong ICD-10-CM knowledge (hospice-focused)
Experience with Medicare hospice cases
Coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred
Experience working with U.S.-based healthcare teams
Reliable internet and ability to work independently
Preferred:

Experience with hospice EMRs (HCHB, Suncoast)
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
