The Conveyancing Paralegal plays a key role in supporting property transactions from contract to settlement. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast?paced environment. You’ll work closely with solicitors, agents, lenders, and clients to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely conveyancing processes across Queensland.
- Manage residential conveyancing files from initial instruction through to post?settlement, with supervision from a solicitor where required
- Prepare, review, and process contracts, Form 1s, Form 24s, transfer documents, and other QLD?specific property forms
- Conduct title searches, property enquiries, and due diligence checks
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, brokers, banks, and other stakeholders to coordinate key milestones
- Use PEXA to prepare settlements, complete financial adjustments, and lodge documents
- Monitor critical dates and ensure all tasks are completed within required timeframes
- Draft correspondence, settlement statements, and client updates
- Maintain accurate file notes and ensure compliance with QLD property law and firm procedures
- Provide administrative support to solicitors and contribute to a positive team culture
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in conveyancing or property law (QLD experience highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including PEXA settlements
- Familiarity with REIQ contracts and Queensland property legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy, organisation, and time?management
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Proficiency with conveyancing software and Microsoft 365
