The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with hands-on QuickBooks Online bookkeeping and U.S. tax preparation experience. This role is critical as we prepare for tax season and support an increasing volume of client work.
The ideal candidate is QBO ProAdvisor Certified and has prior experience assisting with individual and business tax preparation. A CPA license is preferred but not required for candidates with strong, relevant experience.
This is a full-time remote position, requiring availability from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, with a 1-hour lunch break, and possible overtime including weekends during tax season.
Key Responsibilities
> Manage and maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online, including reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance
> Perform bookkeeping cleanups and ongoing monthly or quarterly accounting tasks
> Prepare financial reports to support internal review and client decision-making
> Assist with U.S. tax preparation tasks for individuals and businesses during tax season
> Meet firm deadlines, including occasional 24-hour turnaround requests during peak season
> Collaborate with the team to follow and improve accounting workflows and internal processes
> Communicate clearly and professionally with internal tea
Qualifications
> Preferably with 2+ years of experience in QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification
> Preferably with 2+ years of experience in U.S. tax preparation experience (individual and business returns)
> CPA license preferred, or equivalent hands-on accounting experience
> Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax workflows
> Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
> Ability to manage deadlines, including time-sensitive tax-season deliverables
> Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits
> Pay: $7–$9/hour USD, based on experience
