JOB OVERVIEW

Elite Litigators is hiring a full time web developer to take long term ownership of our custom WordPress platform. This is not a theme based or page builder driven site. The platform is custom coded and supported by a large proprietary database containing thousands of law firms.

This role is core to our business and is intended to be a stable, long term position. You will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and scaling the website as a business critical system, not simply completing isolated tasks.

The work is primarily backend and systems focused. Some front end work will be required, but this is not a design first role.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and extend a custom WordPress codebase
Manage and optimize large MySQL databases containing thousands of records
Ensure site performance, uptime, and security
Manage the server environment, hosting configuration, and deployments
Maintain plugins while gradually reducing plugin dependency through custom development
Troubleshoot issues proactively and respond quickly when problems arise
Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy and long term improvements
Use Microsoft Excel to review, validate, and manage large datasets related to the website and database operations

Required Qualifications
Strong experience with WordPress at the code level, not just page builders
Strong PHP and MySQL skills
Experience managing servers and hosting environments
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets, filtering, validation, and structured data review
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a production system
High reliability, trustworthiness, and attention to detail
Clear written communication and consistent follow through

Nice to Have
Front end design or UI experience
Experience refactoring or improving legacy code
Experience scaling WordPress beyond basic use cases

What We Offer
Full time, stable employment
Long term role with growth and increased responsibility
Clear expectations and direct communication
Opportunity to meaningfully own and improve a real production system

How We Evaluate Candidates
We care more about consistency, judgment, and real world experience than buzzwords. If you have held long term roles, can explain past technical decisions clearly, and value stability and craftsmanship, you will likely be a strong fit.

This role requires taking ownership of the website as a long term responsibility. We are not looking for short term contractors or task based freelancers. You can visit our website and see more about our company at ----------
