JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Remote (Philippines)
Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible within reason
Compensation: $800–$1,200 USD/month (based on experience)
Tools: Beehiiv, Google Docs/Sheets, Canva

About the Role
We run a network of hyperlocal email newsletters for small cities in Utah, USA. Each newsletter shares:
Local events
Community updates
Small business highlights
Simple sponsor placements
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Newsletter Manager to own ~10 local newsletters and make sure they go out on time, every week, with great quality.
This is not a sales role and not a writing-heavy role.
It is an operations + content coordination role with clear systems and checklists.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Weekly Newsletter Production (Main Responsibility)
For each city, every week:
Research local events and updates
Assemble the newsletter using our template
Light editing and formatting
Double-check dates, links, and accuracy
Schedule newsletters in Beehiiv
Ensure zero errors at send time
(We provide templates, examples, and clear instructions.)

Local Research & Content Judgment
Monitor Facebook groups, city websites, and event calendars
Maintain an organized content bank per city
D ---------- what is relevant and valuable to local readers
Flag recurring events and seasonal opportunities

Sponsor Outreach & Placement (System-Driven, Not Sales)
You will not be responsible for selling sponsorships — but you will help execute our sponsor outreach system.
Specifically:
Identify potential local sponsors that are a good fit
Enter business name and email address into a Google Sheet
Trigger our automated outreach system
Track outreach status and responses
Insert approved sponsor blocks into newsletters
Ensure correct copy, links, images, and run dates

Quality & Engagement Monitoring
Monitor open rates and clicks
Report any issues or declining performance
Suggest small improvements when needed

Required Skills & Traits

Must-Have
C2 English proficiency
Experience with newsletters, content editing, or content operations
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organization and follow-through
Comfortable working with systems and automation
Familiarity with:
Google Docs & Sheets
Beehiiv or similar tools
Canva (basic)

Nice-to-Have
Experience with newsletters, blogs, or content management
Experience working US-based schedules or clients
Familiarity with Facebook groups or local community pages
Work Style & Expectations
Clear weekly deadlines
Checklists and SOPs provided
Ask questions early if something is unclear
Communicate daily via Slack or email
Reliable internet and availability during agreed hours
