JOB OVERVIEW

Role: Reels Editor / Video Editing VA
Brand: Luxury homeware & lifestyle brand (Instagram-led)
Time Commitment: Part-time (5–10 hrs/week to start)
Location: Remote
Reporting to: Founder / Brand Lead

Overview

We are looking for a high-taste, fast, detail-oriented Reels Editor VA to edit short-form Instagram content that feels luxury, editorial, and authoritative — not TikTok gimmicky.

This role is execution-focused: you will receive raw footage, scripts, and clear creative direction, and your job is to turn them into polished, scroll-stopping Reels.

Key Responsibilities

Edit Instagram Reels (30–90 seconds) from raw footage

Add clean captions/subtitles (on-brand fonts, pacing, hierarchy)

Cut for retention, clarity, and authority

Add light B-roll, zooms, cuts, and pacing improvements (not over-edited)

Ensure videos feel premium, calm, confident — not trend-chasing

Export in correct formats for Instagram

Organise files clearly and deliver on time

Required Skills

Proven experience editing Instagram Reels / short-form video

Strong sense of aesthetic, rhythm, and restraint

Excellent caption timing (you understand how people read Reels)

Ability to follow brand guidelines exactly

Fast turnaround and reliability

Comfortable working asynchronously with clear briefs

Tools You Should Use

CapCut / Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro (any is fine)

Google Drive / Dropbox

Basic understanding of Instagram best practices

Style We Want

Luxury, editorial, timeless

Calm pacing, confident cuts

No gimmicky transitions

No loud sound effects

Think: high-end magazine meets modern social

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

Experience with luxury, fashion, interiors, or lifestyle brands

Ability to suggest minor pacing or structural improvements

Familiarity with batching workflows

How to Apply

Please include:

2–5 examples of Reels you have edited

A short note on why your editing style suits a luxury brand

Your hourly rate or monthly retainer expectation
