UX/UI Designer (Figma-First) — Ecommerce & CRO Focus
Role Type: Long-term, part-time ? full-time
Hours: 20–40 hrs/week
Rate: Based on experience
Primary Tool: Figma
Industry: Shopify / Ecommerce / CRO
About the Role
I’m looking for a UX/UI Designer who lives in Figma and understands how design decisions directly impact conversion, clarity, and trust.
This is not a generic VA role and not a “make it pretty” design job.
You’ll be designing conversion-focused ecommerce experiences for multiple Shopify brands — including product pages, landing pages, buy boxes, and UX systems — often before anything touches code.
You’ll work closely with me on CRO strategy and help turn ideas, data, and hypotheses into clean, high-fidelity designs that developers can implement with minimal friction.
If you enjoy thinking about why users convert, not just how something looks, this role will be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Designing
You’ll primarily work in Figma, creating:
Product Detail Pages (PDPs)
Buy boxes and offer layouts
Landing pages for paid traffic
Homepage sections and UX systems
Trust & credibility sections (reviews, proof, guarantees)
Subscription & AOV-focused layouts
Mobile-first experiences
Designs should be:
Clean, modern, and structured
Mobile-first
Conversion-driven
Built with Shopify execution in mind
Core Responsibilities
Design high-fidelity ecommerce layouts in Figma
Translate CRO ideas and research into clear UX concepts
Create wireframes and final designs that are dev-ready
Maintain strong visual hierarchy, spacing, and clarity
Think through user intent, objections, and decision flow
Iterate quickly based on feedback and performance goals
Help establish reusable design systems and components
Required Skills & Experience
Strong UX/UI design skills, primarily in Figma
Experience designing for ecommerce websites
Clear understanding of:
Conversion principles
Visual hierarchy
Mobile usability
Trust & persuasion in UX
Ability to design full pages, not just individual assets
Comfortable designing with implementation in mind
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
Shopify familiarity (themes, sections, PDP structure)
CRO experience or interest
Experience working with developers
Light understanding of ecommerce metrics (CVR, AOV)
Ability to document or systemize design workflows
How We’ll Work Together
Async-first collaboration
Clear briefs + room for creative problem solving
Paid trial tasks to evaluate fit
Long-term opportunity for the right person
Room to grow into a senior design / CRO role
How to Apply
Please include:
Your design portfolio (Figma-heavy preferred)
Brief explanation of your UX/UI experience
Examples of ecommerce or conversion-focused work
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a paid trial task in Figma.
