Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented SEO Specialist to manage and execute end-to-end SEO efforts across multiple service-based websites.
This role is NOT for beginners or theoretical SEO practitioners. We need someone who can independently audit, diagnose, and improve SEO performance, build high-quality backlinks, analyze Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and implement actionable improvements that result in real ranking and traffic growth.
You will work closely with the business owner and be responsible for ongoing SEO execution, reporting, and strategy refinement.
Primary Responsibilities
1. SEO Audits & Diagnostics
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive SEO audits, including but not limited to:
Full technical SEO audits
Identifying and fixing:
Indexing issues
Crawl errors
Canonical problems
Duplicate content
Thin content
Redirect chains and loops
404 / 410 issues
Sitemap and robots.txt issues
Core Web Vitals analysis
Mobile usability issues
Page speed and performance optimization insights
Internal linking structure evaluation
Deliverables:
Clear audit reports with prioritized action items
Explanation of what matters vs what doesn’t
Step-by-step recommendations (not vague advice)
2. Google Search Console (GSC) Management
You must be highly proficient in Google Search Console, including:
Analyzing:
Page indexing reports
Coverage issues
“Discovered – currently not indexed”
“Crawled – currently not indexed”
Duplicate canonical issues
Monitoring:
Clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position
Query and page-level performance
Submitting and managing:
XML sitemaps
URL inspections
Diagnosing ranking drops and algorithm impact
Validating fixes and tracking recovery
Deliverables:
Weekly GSC insights summary
Identification of growth opportunities
Early warning alerts for SEO issues
3. Google Analytics (GA4) Analysis
You will analyze and report on user behavior and traffic quality, including:
Organic traffic performance
Landing page performance
Conversion tracking (where applicable)
Bounce rate, engagement time, and user flow
Identifying SEO pages with poor engagement or high exit rates
Connecting SEO efforts to traffic and conversions
Deliverables:
Monthly performance summary
Clear explanations in plain English
Actionable insights (what to improve and why)
4. Link Building & Backlink Strategy
This is a core responsibility.
You must have real experience building backlinks, not automated spam links.
Responsibilities include:
Developing a safe, scalable backlink strategy
Acquiring high-quality, relevant backlinks, including:
Guest posts
Niche edits
Local citations
Editorial mentions
Authority links
Competitor backlink analysis
Anchor text planning and diversity
Avoiding toxic or risky links
Monitoring backlink profile health
Deliverables:
Monthly backlink acquisition plan
Link tracking spreadsheet
DR/traffic relevance justification for each link
Clear explanation of backlink value
5. On-Page SEO & Content Optimization
You will assist with:
Optimizing existing pages for:
Search intent
Keywords
Headings (H1–H3)
Internal linking
Identifying content gaps
Preventing keyword cannibalization
Improving page structure for better rankings
Supporting programmatic SEO pages when needed
6. Ongoing Monitoring & Reporting
You will:
Track SEO KPIs weekly and monthly
Provide clear, honest reporting
Flag issues before they become major problems
Suggest new SEO opportunities
Adjust strategy based on data, not assumptions
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
Proven experience with:
Google Search Console
Google Analytics (GA4)
Ahrefs / SEMrush / similar tools
Strong understanding of:
Technical SEO
Link building
On-page SEO
Indexing & crawling behavior
Ability to explain SEO concepts clearly and logically
Strong English written communication
High attention to detail
Self-managed and proactive
Nice-to-Have (Strong Advantage)
Experience with service-based or local SEO websites
WordPress experience
Understanding of site architecture and internal linking
Experience diagnosing algorithm-related ranking drops
Experience managing multiple websites at once

Weekly check-ins and reporting required
