JOB OVERVIEW

I’m the founder of Finnleigh’s Furry Friends, a 501c3 nonprofit with a comprehensive mission to strengthen the human-animal bond and improve animal welfare through multiple program areas. I need an experienced grant writer to help secure funding to launch and sustain our programs.

About Finnleigh’s Furry Friends:
- 501c3 status: Active
- Named after an Australian Shepherd whose unconditional love inspired this mission
- Mission: Ensure no family loses a pet due to finances, lack of education, or limited access to care

Our Program Areas (Grant Opportunities in Each):

Financial Assistance
- Emergency vet care funding for low-income families
- Subsidized spay/neuter vouchers
- End-of-life care assistance

Pet Overpopulation
- Spay/neuter programs
- Community education on responsible pet ownership
- Reducing shelter intake and euthanasia rates

- Nutrition education (what vet schools don’t teach)
- Integrative/alternative medicine awareness
- Preventive wellness programs

Vaccine Safety Research
- Independent research on pet vaccination protocols
