JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the design and production of high-quality molds.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced CNC CAD Programmer with expertise in mold design to support our injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD/CAM software, particularly Fusion 360, and have a strong background in designing molds and programming CNC toolpaths. This role involves collaborating with our engineering team to create efficient, precise molds and ensure seamless production processes. We offer flexibility for candidates experienced in SolidWorks to transition to Fusion 360, with dedicated time provided for adaptation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop molds for injection molding applications, ensuring they meet specifications for functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
• Program CNC toolpaths for machining molds, optimizing paths for efficiency, accuracy, and minimal material waste.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to create detailed 3D models, simulations, and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
• Perform quality checks on designs and toolpaths to identify and resolve potential issues before production.
• Stay updated on industry best practices for mold design and CNC programming to improve processes and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in CNC programming and mold design, preferably in an injection molding environment.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 (preferred) or SolidWorks; willingness to adapt to Fusion 360 workflows with provided training time.
• Strong knowledge of CNC toolpath programming, including strategies for roughing, finishing, and complex geometries.
• Understanding of injection molding principles, material properties, and mold fabrication techniques.
