JOB OVERVIEW

The Mission (Straight Talk)

We operate a luxury charter yacht in the British Virgin Islands. The boat is elite. The experience is elite.
Our marketing needs to stop looking like stock-photo sailing porn and start looking like “I need to book this now.”

This role owns how the world sees the yacht.

Core Responsibilities
1. Instagram That Actually Converts

Create and post 3–4 high-quality Instagram posts per week

Blend luxury, wit, intelligence, and edge

Mix of:

Charter lifestyle

Guest experience

Food & drink

Itineraries

Behind-the-scenes

Smart humor (not cringe yacht-bro nonsense)

Write captions that sound like a well-traveled human, not a brochure

2. Visual Storytelling (Not Canva Spam)

Use Canva (expert-level) or similar tools to:

Design branded post graphics

Create elegant itinerary visuals

Produce charter highlight slides

Maintain a cohesive visual identity

No templates that scream “free version”

3. Itineraries That Make People Book

Create weekly BVI charter itineraries:

Smart routing

Hidden gems

Balance of adventure + chill

Make them visually beautiful and easy to understand

These should outclass other charter marketers (look up Serenity Yacht in BVI, this is the current best inclass benchmark)

4. Food & Experience Marketing

Build weekly charter menu layouts:

Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, cocktails

Styled for Instagram and client previews

Work with real food photos and mockups

Make people hungry and jealous (politely)

5. Brand Voice Guardian

Keep language:

Fun

Smart

Confident

Slightly irreverent

Absolutely no cheesy yacht clichés

You should get luxury without trying too hard

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable), application MUST include examples of your work

Proven experience managing Instagram for luxury, travel, or lifestyle brands

Strong graphic design skills (Canva required; Adobe a plus)

Excellent copywriting — clever, concise, human

Strong visual judgment (you know when something looks cheap)

Ability to work independently and deliver consistently

Organized, deadline-driven, not flaky

Nice-to-Haves (Big Plus)

Experience with:

Yachts

Travel brands

Hospitality

Luxury real estate

Understanding of:

Reels

Engagement strategy

Content pacing

Bonus if you’ve ever said:
“Most charter Instagram accounts are painfully boring.”

Time & Compensation

Part-time (5–10 hrs/week to start)

Flexible schedule

Paid hourly or monthly retainer (based on experience)

Opportunity to grow into a broader brand leadership role

How to Apply (This Filters Out the Weak)

Applicants must submit:

Links to Instagram accounts they’ve managed

2–3 sample posts (caption + visual)
OR redesign one existing yacht post and make it better

A short note explaining:

Why most charter marketing sucks

How you’d fix it
