We are seeking a highly analytical and self-directed Financial Planning & Analysis Lead with experience in the technology and professional services industry. This is a unique opportunity to build an FP&A function from scratch within a fast-scaling, PE-backed Microsoft ERP Partner. You will design and manage planning models, automate financial reporting, and deliver insights that drive decisions, investor confidence, and operational alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
-Budgeting & Forecasting: Build detailed financial models to support annual planning, monthly reforecasts, and scenario analysis (50+ tab workbooks).
-Management Reporting: Create close packages, trend analyses, dashboards, and commentary that communicate performance clearly to leadership.
-Headcount & Payroll Modeling: Construct dynamic payroll models linked to comp plans, benefits, and taxes; reconcile with HRIS and payroll data.
-Cash & Scenario Planning: Model cash runway, sensitivity scenarios, and forecasts to support investor visibility.
-Excel Model Stewardship: Maintain and audit complex Excel tools built by external consultants; ensure version control and formula integrity.
-Process Automation: Systematize reporting outputs via Power Query, Power BI, or no-code tools; create narrative templates for reporting.
-AI-Readiness: Partner with leadership on integrating AI tools (e.g., Copilot/GPT) into financial workflows.
-Stakeholder Partnering: Act as the finance liaison for HR, Legal, GTM, and other departments—translating numbers into actionable insights.
-ERP Transition Support: Collaborate on the migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP to D365 Business Central; support UAT and data validation.
Qualifications:
-8–10+ years of FP&A experience, ideally in PE-backed or fast-growth environments.
-Expert-level Excel skills (Power Query, nested formulas, scenario modeling, error checking).
-Proven success in forecasting, monthly reporting, and trend analysis.
-Strong communicator who can simplify complex financials for non-finance teams.
-Comfortable working remotely with U.S.-based stakeholders in PST hours.
Preferred Experience:
-ERP migration support (GP ? D365 BC).
-Exposure to GAAP readiness or audit prep.
-Familiarity with CRM and cohort metrics (Salesforce a plus).
-SaaS metrics knowledge: ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV.
