Client Success Specialist

Role Purpose
The Client Success Specialist is the primary relationship manager for assigned clients—ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident while internal teams deliver bookkeeping, tax planning, and CFO services on time and at a high standard.
TaxDome, QuickBooks Online, Instead, & Slack software experience.
Core Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management (Primary)
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients
Conduct onboarding calls and quarterly client check-ins
Proactively communicate deadlines, next steps, and expectations
Translate financial information into clear, client-friendly language
Maintain high client confidence and satisfaction
2. Project & Deadline Oversight
Track monthly deliverables (books, reports, tax strategy updates)
Ensure financials are completed by the 15th of each month
Coordinate between:
Outsourced bookkeeping teams
Tax advisors / CFO reviewers
VA or internal admin support
Follow up on missing documents or stalled tasks
3. Systems & Workflow Management
Manage client workflows in TaxDome (tasks, pipelines, notes)
Ensure:
All client communication is logged
Tasks are properly assigned and updated
No client is “lost in the system”
Assist with SOP adherence and continuous improvement
4. Client Retention & Upsell Support
Identify:
Clients who need more support
Clients ready for CFO or advanced tax strategy upgrades
Flag renewal risks early
Support offboarding professionally when needed
Success Metrics (KPIs)

On-time financials by the 15th
